The BATOR telescopic sliding door is the right choice for large openings such as aircraft and helicopter hangars. The door panels move synchronously or asynchronously on several tracks and can be coupled so that only one drive is required per door side. The door elements move behind the facade and open up the maximum passage width. Partial openings for the passage of smaller vehicles (e.g. forklift trucks, company vehicles) are thus possible at any time.
Due to their weight, hangar doors are usually floor-supported. Several floor rails are embedded in a recess. The roller units are embedded in the floor so they are not visible. The floor rail area is threshold-free.
Smaller doors can also be suspended, provided that the on-site steel girder is designed to withstand the dynamic load without deflection.
The telescopic sliding door is practically unlimited in height and width. For heights beyond 7 metres, BATOR recommends the ground-supported version.
In terms of design, telescopic sliding doors can take up the pattern of the facade with a whole range of different materials: with applied sheet, expanded metal, panels, wood inlays or glazing or with fibre-reinforced concrete elements – the sky is the limit. The solid construction and silent roller glides with integrated bearings meet the highest demands in terms of durability and smooth, noiseless operation, making BATOR steel sliding doors a popular choice also for public authorities at home and abroad.
BATOR telescopic sliding doors open either to the left or to the right on one side or, with two or more panel sections, open synchronously or asynchronously to both sides. Each door panel can be driven individually or the panels with the same opening direction can be linked up so that only one drive is required per opening side.
All elements such as trolleys, shafts, guide rails, rolling elements and drive units are designed to operate with minimal material wear and maintenance across many decades. An investment that pays off.
The BATOR telescopic sliding door offers the following advantages:
In addition to the CLASSIC version, the door is also available in a certified RC3 / WK3 version or bullet-resistant up to certified class BR4 / FB4. The THERM line guarantees a U-value of 1.2 W/m2K. Good acoustic values are achieved with the PHON line.
CLASSIC | The classic industrial door with a robust steel frame construction in a model range of 40, 60 or 100 mm |
|
THERM | Highly insulated model with a foamed insulated polyurethane kernel and a confirmed overall metric U-value of 1.2 W/m2K (= imperial U-value of 0.21 Btu/h·ft2·F) |
|
SECURE | Additional security features can be scaled individually: certified bullet resistance up to level BR4/FB4, Hurricane UL-certified (Miami Dade level) up to 180 psf, explosion resistance up to a load of 100 kN / m2 |
|
ACOUSTIC | Acoustic telescopic doors with soundproofing up to 50 dB(A) |
|
FIRE | Fire retardant up to level E30 |
|
SPECIAL | Highly individual constructions e.g. for road and rail tunnels, prisons, security areas, explosion protection gates etc. |
